Cashmere Agency at the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest
Monday, December 17th, 2007
The Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest took place on December 8 and 9, 2007 in Park City Utah. The invitational ski event pairs former Olympic ski legends with television and film celebrities for a weekend of skiing, live music and fundraising for the environmental group Waterkeeper Alliance, The event was first class all the way as all our needs were catered to. Weather was perfect as it snowed most of Friday and Saturday, so there was fresh powder for the event. The list of people that supported the cause was great and included Olympic athletes, multiple Kennedys, TV and Film stars.
Highlights of the weekend:
-Great skiing, accommodations at Black Bear, first class service at Deer Valley Resort and the personnel from JUMA running the event.
-Meeting and listening to Bobby Kennedy Jr. talk about his organization the Waterkeeper Alliance, very inspirational and insightful.
-Watching Larry David race/ski gates, very entertaining.
-Hero Buzz Aldrin was at our table for dinner and watching him get a standing ovation by everyone in attendance.
-Natasha Bedingfield performed an acoustic set that rocked the party.
-Dined with Matthew Modine, Penelope Ann Miller, Joey Pantoliano, Rob Marrow. All great people with lots of personality and fun stories.
- The swag… suede Ugg boots, Decente ski jacket, Roots sweatshirt, Helmet with ipod/phone compatibility, Paul Mitchell hair products, Zeal goggles, Salomon socks, Kombi gloves, giant ski duffle bag, etc. We were in ski heaven with all the gear that we collected. It came in handy because the weather was 20 degrees F and we fell on our @ss a lot.
Check out the actual race on CBS, Sunday, December 16, 2007, at 5pm (est).
