Los Angeles has a wide array of different architectures giving the city its character and beauty (i.e, The Getty Museum, the Observatory, Downtown Los Angeles buildings and the many beautiful homes built in the hills, Malibu, Bel-Air, etc). One of the most prominent architecture companies (LOHA) to bless LA with their amazing buildings continues to create breath taking structures. Created in 2006, LOHA did a great job of building this home with the limited space provided. Check out the photos below.

Siri – The Virtual Personal Assistant
Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Okay, so we usually have iPhone and Blackberry wars here in the office (fyi: the Blackberry clan usually wins), but this time…iPhoners definitely won major points this this new application (although it is available for other PDA’s including the Blackberry – we all know Siri will make the dopest app for the iPhone!)
Siri is the first virtual personal assistant that helps you hail a cab, book reservations at a restaurant and/or hotel room, buy movie tickets and even find activities to do for the weekend! This concierge on-the-go service is ready and able to address all of your mobile needs — simply type what you need and Siri will respond with a solution. Siri hasn’t officially launched, but you can sign up for free to be one of the first to try this new app!

Bing Buzz Had Users Searching For a Site That Did Not Exist…Yet!
Monday, June 1st, 2009
There have been some interesting tactics to raise awareness for a product…like flash mobbing (Truth Campaigns) — But this time Bing.com (Microsoft’s newest search engine) has caused quite a stir. Last week, Mircosoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced his companies latest site, Bing. It was an instant hit amongst Internet goers — Bing was the subject of 1,500 news stories, spent almost a full day on Twitter’s trending-topics list and, per Nielsen Online, accounted for 0.23% of all blog conversations that day.

However, users ran into a problem…The page did not exist! Many people were greeted by the phrase “Coming soon,” — and a three-minute video trailer outlining some of the search engine’s highlights. This may be an unusual way to build a buzz (a tricky one at that), but the numbers proved it was a success. According to Compete, launch day Bing.com totaled 0.13% of all people on the internet on May 28. The day before launch, it was seen by 0.009% of all people online and by 0.017% two days before launch.
But that’s not the final push for Bing. Adage.com reported that Microsoft is planning to spend a whopping $80 to $100 million in advertisement from JWT!
