NBA Live 10!!

Last Wednesday, EA Sports hosted a preview party for NBA Live 10 at Skee Studio in Los Angeles. The event was hosted by DJ Skee and included a tournament between artists that were featured on the game’s soundtrack. This was the very first time anyone has played NBA LIVE 10, excluding the developers.
The event was packed with people and celebrities who were geeked to play the game. Some of the celebrities that participated in the tournament included Xzibit, DJ Quik, Young Dre The Truth, Murs, Jay Rock, B.o.B, DJ Babu and more! The winner of the tournament was none other than West Coast legend DJ Quik and his son. Check out what you missed in some of the photos below.

All types of technology intrigue the team here at Cashmere. Gadgets are one thing, but think bigger. This gigantic complex designed by HyoManKim in South Korea is state-of-the-art in every aspect! Built on the Han River in GaPyeong, the vessel-like building utilizes postmodern architectural design and embodies a style of controlled chaos with it’s non-rectilinear shapes and distorted looking glass surfaces. The entire house is arranged around a large outdoor pool and patio and a pathway runs throughout from the house to the private marina where the family can take their speedboats out on the Han River. Who’s ready for a trip to S. Korea?!

New Era, the most noted fitted cap company has just announced their newest venture via digital space with their online magazine, Your Lifestyle. Fitted.
The magazine utilizes flash technology and opens in a web browser window. The magazine also has great features that allow readers to view video, search topics and click on links to their favorite brand’s website. The first issue features the No. 1 NBA draft pick Blake Griffin on the cover. Microsoft’s Project Natal

It is no surprise that a controller-free gaming and entertainment system is already in the final stages of being released. Coming out on the XBox 360, Project Natal is the first of it’s kind…the gaming system requires no controllers – your body is your controller. The system functions by tracking your full body movement in 3-D and recognizing your face and facial expressions. It can even detect the change of emotion in your voice. What sets Project Natal apart from everything else, is its ability to remember your face and voice so that you can connect to Xbox LIVE without the need to reach for a controller.

Okay, this is the second time seeing a touch faucet and it is definitely a great new technology that is both fascinating and convenient at the same time! VADO presents it’s latest v-touch basin mixer that works on touchscreen technology. The mixer features a touch pad to change the water flow and thermostatically-controlled temperature which is reflected in the digital display. This makes us one step closer to becoming Minority Report!

The early version of Scratch: The Ultimate DJ was available for fans to test out at this year’s E3 convention. Check out what legendary Hip-Hop producer QD3 had to say about the game so far. This game promises to give the user the full DJ’ing experience. The games comes with a controller that has a Numark fader and actual MPC pads that allow the user to control every drum of the beat. Slated for a release in 2010, this game appears to offer the finer touches of DJ’ing and beat making that DJ Hero will not offer, thus making it a must have for any true Hip-Hop head.

The annual Sunset Junction festival will be held August 22nd and 23rd in the Silverlake neighborhood from noon-10pm. So if you want to experience the LA culture, make sure you stop by. There will be lots of food, drinks, shopping and musical entertainment from numerous bands including Les Nubians, Nortec Collective, The Sonics, Destructo and more!

Paint is history!! Although it has helped us achieve many great things in art, you have to see what’s on the horizons when it comes to art installations!! Urbanscreen, based out of Germany, uses enormous projectors and a lot of design skill to transform cityscapes into mind blowing art installations.
This might be the next big thing in art, especiallly in urban cities like New York, Tokyo, London and Los Angeles. Skylines will be a real site to look at!! Check out Urbanscreen’s latest project they did in Germany called, 555 KUBIK.
:The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture – the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers “Galerie der Gegenwart”. Resultant permeability of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves – describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.”

Now add the “BROTHERS” show into the equation…What do you have?
You have a mix of a major network, another BIG HIT adding to the slew of credible ratings, and the only sitcom on a major network with an all-Black cast.
FOX Broadcasting, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, do it again! With former NFL star, Michael Strahan, jumping further into the entertainment biz with an acting career and joining a veteran cast in a comedy series, we will have more laughs and more perceptions behind this (New York) Giant!
