Terrace Martin Jazzes It Up With 808s & Sax Breaks!
Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Despite producing numerous standout tracks for the likes of Snoop Dogg and Kurupt, Terrace Martin’s first love remains the saxophone. It’s fitting then, that his latest release is titled 808s & Sax Breaks. Inspired by Kanye West’s acclaimed 808s & Heartbreaks, Terrace selected the original album’s strongest tracks and reinterprets them as enchanting, sax-infused numbers. Adding a refreshing dimension to an already excellent body of work, 808s & Sax Breaks allows Terrace to display his gifts as a jazz musician. His passion and soulfulness is clearly reflected on this exciting new release that should be embraced by Hip-Hop and jazz fans alike.
Make sure to watch the above video as Terrace Martin speaks about creating 808s & Sax Breaks and gives you a glimpse of the production. 808s & Sax Breaks now available on iTunes for only $2.99 and will be available on Amazon shortly!! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Locke High School’s music program!

May the force be with you
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Cashmere Agency’s Ryan Ford often inspires us with words of wisdom like “The force is strong in there today! Can you feel it?” Thus, we were thoroughly excited when Mr. Ford was able to attend Seth MacFarlane’s Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark-Side release party, hosted at MacFarlane’s private residence in Los Angeles. The Star Wars themed party took it to the next level with performances by the Emmy Award-winning composer Ron Jones and his 40-piece orchestra and an Imperial guard dance off. Oh, and believe only the A-list celebrities were in attendance, including Bill Maher, Alyssa Milano, Paris Hilton, and Robot Chicken’s creator Seth Green.
Check out this exclusive footage Cashmere was able to capture!
Also, did we forget to mention that actor Ray Park (who played Darth Maul) paid Cashmere a little visit?! Although it may not be portrayed in the photo, Ryan was overwhelmed with excitement!

The best list
Monday, December 14th, 2009
2009 has been a long, but highly successful year for Cashmere. We have endured many projects and have become a household name, as far as internet marketing and public relations goes. The numerous late nights and weekend grinding has definitely paid off and we’re ecstatic to announce that two of our clients have made a “Best List.”
Deemed as one of RollingStone.com’s “100 Best Songs of The Decade,” Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” has made the list at No. 93! It’s crazy to think out of all the songs put out over the past 10 years, one of Snoop’s song has made the list! We are delighted for the D-O-DOUBLE-G and are extremely proud to work so closely with all of his projects.
Secondly, Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. II has been included in Time Magazine’s “Top 10 Albums of 2009.” Making the list at No. 7, proves that indie artists can make it – of course it doesn’t hurt to be the infamous CHEF! Nevertheless, Cashmere is proud and honored to represent one of hip-hop’s greatest legacies.
Overall, this is what Cashmere has been waiting for and although 2009 is coming to an end, we are excited to see what 2010 brings us!! So thank you to everyone who supports what we do here…your love and support is truly appreciated and we look forward to bringing you more heat in the years to come!

Recently, we stumbled across an interesting and somewhat disturbing article about the 10 most exotic Asian foods, from dog meat to rooster…umm, well… see for yourself at MatadorNights.
Myspace Music Takes over Imeem!
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

After months of speculation, iMeem is turning over their keys to MySpace Music’s corporate buyout in exchange for $1 million in cash. Unlike the previous acquisition of iLike being bought out by Myspace.com, iMeem is being acquired by MySpace Music -a joint venture between MySpace and most of the major music labels.
iMeem has held a strong online presence when it comes to music. They helped pioneer the free advertising-supported music model for online music, which let consumers to legally upload, stream, share music and music playlists for free by the support of advertising. During iMeem’s successful six years, the popular music and video streaming site boasted 16 million monthly users that are now in the hands of MySpace Music.
As of now, there’s no word if the iMeem brand will continue to exist under MySpace management or where talent and assets will end up. But by all accounts, this is a great move by MySpace Music to gain new monthly users and take advantage of iMeem’s technology!
