They’ve found a way to make delicious raw, vegan and organic food that does not taste as bad as it sounds. In fact, the raw supreme pizza with kale salad ($10) on the side is mouth-watering goodness. The kale shake ($8) tastes like pistachio heaven and the butter pecan cheezcake ($8) makes us salivate just from reading it. Not only do they have great food, they have great service and most importantly, great prices!! You don’t have to break your piggy bank to eat healthy at Sunpower Natural Organic Restaurant. Yes, believe the hype! Today Steve Jobs unveiled Apple’s latest creation called The iPad. The iPad has garnered so much buzz in the tech industry, it’s kind of like the “Drake” of gadgets at the moment…except The iPad is looking way more promising!
The iPad is basically the iPhone version of a Kindle and what’s great about this device is the ability to share the same operating system as the iPhone. So all apps you’ve accumulated on your iPhone can instantly be available on the iPad! The device has a nice 9.7 inch screen, which uses IPS technology allowing for more pleasurable viewing for browsing, photos, videos and e-books. Not only is the iPad beefed up by a 1GHz Apple A4 processor, it also comes with WiFi capabilities, bluetooth, speakers and a microphone.
Now the big question is, HOW MUCH?! Well, let’s just say it might just be worth the investment. Check out the pricing below!

vox humana: LA Convention Center

The Fine Art Dealers Association’s 15th Annual Art Show “Vox Humana” is located at the Los Angeles Convention Center and is now open to the public until Sunday, January 24th.
Vox Humana, Latin for “Human Voice,” is currently showcasing edgy and groundbreaking art from renown Los Angeles street artists Retna, El Mac, Kofie and Mear One. They will be painting live everyday from 12-6pm, so don’t miss your chance to witness their craftsmanship and the evolutionary use of the word “tag.”
Using acrylic and aerosol paints, Retna and El Mac will collaborate on a canvas project that is 12 x 24 feet, while Kofie and Mear will work independently on 12 x 12 foot canvases. The viewing of the completed projects is open to attendees and will take place on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 at 2 PM, during the closing celebration.

The Book of Eli Art Event!

“The Book of Eli” art event was held at Crewest Gallery on Thursday, January 14th during Downtown Los Angeles’ monthly art walk. It was a huge success with over 1,400 attendees and garnering coverage from top Hispanic outlets such as MTV3, LATV, NEWS2AIR, Purocine.com, NOTIMEX, Terra.com, CineMovie.tv, Channel 62’s “Estrellas Hoy” and NEW2AIR, just to name a few. Celebrity guest and Spanish rockstar, Beto Cueva, was in attendance and interviewed with the aforementioned media. Entertainment included live art provided by Spanish artists Unification Theory (Man One, Ritzy Perlwinkle, and Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca) painting on canvases and wood panels of images inspired by the movie, looped trailer of the movie projected throughout the event, and a DJ playing live music. Complimentary beverages were provided by Jarritos and various “The Book of Eli” promotional items were distributed throughout the night.
The event was very interactive for attendees with the live art and music. It also successfully engaged bystanders to walk into Crewest Gallery to check out the event because of the interactivity within the event. Fans of Cueva were ecstatic to be able to catch a glimpse of the star. In addition, multiple conversations were sparked throughout the event talking about the art in connection with the movie along with the music. Check out some of the photos from the night!
ESPN coming to Xbox 360 systems?

ESPN is making some serious inroads into the tech world. A couple weeks ago they announced they were creating an ESPN 3D channel, debuting this summer with World Cup Soccer. But word came today that the four letter network may be partnering with Microsoft for a venture with the Xbox 360.
Right now it’s all speculation, but word on the street is that behind closed doors Microsoft and the Walt Disney Company are trying to put together a deal that would have ESPN streaming via Xbox 360. According to the The New York Times, the two sides are planning to bring live streams of sporting events to 360 consoles, something already done at ESPN360.
On the surface this doesn’t seem like much, however, the impact of such an agreement may lead to a change in the television landscape. Imagine, bypassing Cable and Satellite systems altogether and watching the cable channels you want through a home gaming console and broadband Internet! Just something to think about!
