This week, internet pioneers AOL and Yahoo announced that they would be joining forces under a new company powered by Verizon. This new power company, dubbed Oath, will compete with the likes of Google and Facebook for the top spot on the list of internet media companies. Oath will be led by AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, and he revealed the meaning behind #TakeTheOath just after the news broke the internet.
Oath will be a B2B brand to connect their entire house of brands under both AOL and Yahoo, while still being recognizable by some of their noteworthy names: Yahoo Finance, Huffington Post, TechCrunch, MAKERS, and more. With increased security measures, CEO Armstrong ensures that he’s “got your data, and your back.”
We’re excited to see the future of Oath unfold!
