Will.I.AM’s New Project w/ INTEL: Ultrabook™ Project [VIDEO]

Will.I.AM unveiled his new initiative with Intel™ yesterday at CES and it’s looking rather cool. With his interests in technology, music and philanthropy, he has found a way to use them all together. The campaign will involve his new Ultrabook, the new #willpower app and a few other things. To see what that is watch the video, to get a clear cut example read below:
Towards the end of Intel CEO Paul Cotellini’s keynote, Will previewed the first of 12 songs he’ll be releasing over the course of the next 12 months. The first, “I’ll Blow Your Mind With My Ghetto Blaster,” was recorded in Japan during a four-day trip in which Will.I.AM played a DJ gig, helped raise money for tsunami relief in Japan and recorded a track that captured his experience using Intel technology. “Ghetto Blaster” will be available for a free but will be limited to only 10,000 downloads at Intel.com before it’s taken down.

Over the course of the next month, our staff here at Cashmere will be partaking in a high-profile, internal competition. The crew will be split up into four teams. Each team will be responsible for creating a campaign that has something to do with the automotive industry. Besides keeping the target audience and Cashmere’s creative values and beliefs in mind, there are no rules or boundaries in order to leave as much room as possible for ingenuity. Guidelines have been purposely left vague in order to promote creativity and innovation.
Cashmere’s brightest minds will clash as all four teams are eager to win. The judging criteria is simple: “coolness” of the initiative, innovative use of new media tools, and quantitative analysis. As you can see, with very few boundaries, there is plenty of room for the creative minds at Cashmere to showcase their talent and originality.

Snoop Launches #BOOMSNOOP Contest

Snoop Dogg’s teamed up with ooVoo to launch his #BOOMSNOOP contest where three fans will win a live video call with Snoop using ooVoo .
Since Snoop is one of the most Twitter-friendly celebrities, it isn’t a surprise that the contest is held on Twitter. After downloading the ooVoo iPhone app, contestants have to post this message to Snoop on Twitter: “#BOOMSNOOP @snoopdogg, I just downloaded @ooVoovideo for iPhone — http://bit.ly/boomsnoop.”
Three contestants will be randomly picked to receive a live, face-to-face ooVoo video call from the Boss Dogg. The contestants must dance or rap the first verse of Snoop’s new single “BOOM”, featuring T-Pain. Contest ends June 12th, 2011.

Snoop Dogg Connects with Fans…

Snoop Dogg and Landy teamed up with Abduzeedo to host a contest giving fans the opportunity to create their own video using a pre-recorded Snoop Dogg green screen video. Snoop made his decision, and crowned Nicolas Doretti as the top dog in winning the commercial and proudly presents the first official Landy commercial.

XZIBIT, DJ SKEE HOST “HURT LOCKER” REMIX USTREAM LISTENING SESSION

Today at 1:15 pm PT, Xzibit and DJ Skee are going live on Ustream to begin the voting process of choosing the winner of the Indaba Music “Hurt Locker” remix contest.
Xzibit and DJ Skee will be going through 10-15 submissions live during their Ustream session and even get fans involved. All Ustream users can provide feedback about each song through Ustream’s chat room feed, as well as, vote for their favorite remix via Indabamusic.com until August 10th. Voters will automatically be eligible to win a pair of tickets to the August 25th SKEETOX show at the famous Roxy Theatre in Hollywood.
The grand prize winner will be chosen on August 13, 2010 by judges Xzibit, DJ Skee and Indaba Music’s co-founder Mantis Evar and will get the following prizes below:
