MAKE YOUR MOTHER’S DAY SHINE!!!!

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Stop by Imix Bookstore’s Mother’s Day Market tomorrow for sweet treats and unique gifts!

If you haven’t been to Imix (pronounced ee-meesh), you are missing out on a rare-gem.  This is not only a bookstore, but a valuable community resource. Proprietor Elisa Garcia has created a beautiful community bookstore featuring the latest in Chicano/Latino Literature, Filipino-American Literature, as well as beautiful handmade jewelry and crafts by local artists, artist produced T-shirts and a special collection of children’s books.

Not only can you find unique items here, but you will also find local artist shows in the store’s gallery.  Elisa has always been supportive of other independent entrepreneurs, especially embracing LA’s artists and community groups and has been a grateful friend and supporter to many in the community. Bookstores like Imix are a rare-gem in this day and age…so if you’re looking for the perfect, heart-felt Mother’s Day gift, make sure you stop in tomorrow during the Mothers Day Market!

The IMIX Bookstore is located on 5052 Eagle Rock Boulevard in Los Angeles. Check out the link below to a slideshow of some of their products.
