VH1 will debut a second screen experience to launch with it’s 17th Annual Critic’s Choice Movie Awards tonight.  The integration will allow experts and critics to engage via a livestream during the live broadcast of the CCMAs.  The experts are to provide context to the proceedings and also chat with VH1′s audience.  This feature will live on the awards website.  Users will be allowed to ask questions and post comments using their existing social profiles.  We’ve seen how people interact on Twitter and Facebook during award shows, sporting events and more…it looks like VH1 is taking steps to fully embrace this.  For more details check out Mashable.

To see many people from Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond come together in the name of art, music, love, social awareness and community was amazing.

With 100+ artists, 30+ DJ’s curated by ArtDontSleep, live t-shirt printing by Hit + Run , a human photo petition by Azul 213, live performances and workshops, LA Vs. WAR II was a 3 day part exhibition, and part experiential event.  It was nice to see such a diverse group of people and  families come together for this.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes was set up to be one of the dumbest movies of the summer. That’s exactly why I went to see it over the weekend! You put a hundred million dollars into a summer blockbuster and you got my ticket money, no prob.

Want to see some creepy CGI monkeys fight the San Francisco Police Department on the Golden Gate Bridge, then you should give your money to this movie. Although I went into the theater with super low expectations, I was surprised that the movie managed to exceed them. My official review: If you got $12 extra bucks and absolutely nothing to do one night this week, then go see The Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
