SPOTIFY TO REMAIN FREE IN THE U.S.

So as we all know, Spotify launched in the U.S. market about nine months ago and told new users they would have no restrictions for the first six months.  After their six month run, users would have to start paying for access to certain options.  As of today however, Spotify has made it known that they are still allowing unlimited access on their platform indefinitely.  There are a couple theories that Mashable has as to why this is so.

FACEBOOK TIMELINE RAISES BRAND PAGE ENGAGEMENT 46 %

A recent study by Simply Measured showed that the new “Timeline” feature on Facebook is giving brands 46% more engagement compared to the other layout.  They say these are just preliminary results but it’s interesting nonetheless.  For more details check out Mashable.

For some it seems like Twitter became a big thing overnight and then quickly became a normal part of people’s lives.  How many times have you heard “I saw it on Twitter a few minutes ago” or “Did you see what [insert celebrity] was tweeting last night?”.  It has become a reliable and instant news source for people on the go as well as a useful tool for communication and meeting people.  We now see things like hashtags and “@” signs in ads and tv commercials.  What will Twitter have for us in the next six years?

Pretty interesting, and very smart as well.

With all the movers and shakers at SXSW and the next wave of people on their way to Austin TX it’s probably a good idea to know about a few apps that let you keep business in order as you’re moving in such a frenetic pace.  Mashable highlighted these three apps today that vary from scanning documents, managing your team travel and the expenses they will all incur as well as an app that lets you know what’s in the vicinity of your gate when you’re moving hastily through an airport you may or may not be familiar with.  So make sure to go HERE to get all the details on these apps.  They’re all very useful.

FROM THE BLOCKS TO THE BLOGS: OUR PANEL AT SXSW

We’re not only throwing a dope music event but we’re putting on an incredible panel at SXSW next week. From The Blocks to the Blogs will be moderated by our very own Ryan Ford and will feature Elliott Wilson, Karen Civil, Devi Dev, Justin Siegel and from our Stampede family: Nick Adler. APPLE REVEALS “THE NEW iPAD”

As noted last week, Apple was having an event for a new product everyone needed to see and touch.  The world figured it was time for the iPad 3 and excitement and droves of rumors hit the internet.  Well it’s not called the iPad 3 or iPad HD it’s simply just the iPad.  With a screen almost twice as sharp, Apple is looking to redefine the market they paved the way for.  A few details are here over at TechCrunch and right about now every tech site has various articles on the new features, upgrades and more that Apple rolled out.

CHIME.IN x SPOTIFY at SXSW

With over 2,000 bands performing at 90+ different venues in downtown Austin, SXSW can be a bit overwhelming, even to the most seasoned tastemaker.

APPLE TO UNVEIL iPAD 3 NEXT WEEK

Some of you may have gotten one, some of you may have not; but an invitation sent out notified the press that there was something new that Apple wanted to show them.  And they really wanted them to touch it as well.  With the image above and its text the world is all ready to see what they believe to be the new iPad 3 next week.  Many rumors have been flying around about this being unveiled first quarter and it looks like it’s right on time.  As always Apple has found a way to grab our attention and have us waiting for their next news.
